Southall impressed with his interior presence, scoring around the basket while serving as an anchor below the rim. He does a nice job rebounding the basketball and runs the floor well in transition for a player of his size. His sheer size allows him to eat up real estate inside, while his length gives him the ability to alter shots and prevent points at the rim. Southall should benefit from his move to Avonworth and the opportunity to take on a larger role. He has plenty of untapped potential and should continue to develop with increased responsibility.

Southall is a long-armed 4 man who is very active in the game and has a nose for making crucial plays to help his team win games. He has a sneaky good feel for the game and can read and react to different situations on the fly. He capitalized on 2nd chances efforts and turned them into scoring chances. His length allowed him to rebound and gather steals.
