I’ve been really impressed with Hatchett’s play since about mid summer. A button has clicked with this young man and he’s put it in another gear. Hatchett glides through his change of direction and has an instinct as to where to find a lane to the rim. This makes it very difficult for defenders to stay in position when guarding him.

Hatchett has been a bucket for Ottawa Hills this season. He’s not just a shooter, as he can score athletically from multiple spots on the floor. Hatchett was playing strong in the fall and that has definitely continued into the high school season.

Hatchett made some noise, particularly at a scrimmage event this summer. He was getting rave reviews and he deserved every one of them. Quite simply, he was one of the better players in the gym that day. Hatchett has some playmaker in him and can play the game at a high speed.
