About Prescott

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a dual-sport student-athlete, serving as the starting point guard on a triple crown championship basketball team. I am a defensive player who is always assigned to stop the leading scorer on the opposing team. I am also run track and field, I compete in the 200m and 400m hurdles. My speed enhances my defensive abilities.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a goal-oriented, positive thinker who approaches every challenge with a “glass half full” mindset. I perform well under pressure and thrive in competitive environments. As a natural leader, I bring strong organizational skills and the ability to unite and elevate any team I’m part of.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I mentor and train younger athletes in the Queens Defenders basketball program, helping them develop their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I served as captain of my championship JV basketball team. I am the point guard on a triple crown championship varsity basketball team. I was entrusted with these leadership roles because of my natural ability to lead, communicate, and put my teammates in positions to succeed. In high-pressure moments, I am someone my team can rely on, I stay calm, focused, and make the right decisions.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing academics and athletics is a constant challenge, requiring strong time management and the ability to multitask effectively. As a student-athlete, I am expected to remain poised and composed, especially in moments when others may begin to unravel. While I may feel the same pressure internally, I take pride in maintaining a calm, steady presence and leading with confidence.

What type of college are you looking for?

My goal is to become a successful entrepreneur, and I am seeking a college that will challenge me, develop my skills, and help turn that vision into reality. As a dedicated runner and basketball player, I am equally committed to competing at a high level in athletics while growing academically and personally.
