The trait: Attacking mentality

Paxton Hruska was among the guards highlighted at the Coast 2 Coast Midwest Camp and throughout this summer. His scouting profile points to a player whose offensive approach and willingness to attack are worth keep track of.

The Dawg Factor is not simply about playing aggressively; it is about knowing when to turn aggression into an advantage. Attacking closeouts, finding openings, and remaining committed to defensive responsibilities can make that mentality valuable across a full game.

He came into camp wired to score and put his full arsenal on display. Open or contested, he buried shots from deep, knocked down mid-range jumpers and showed a soft touch on his floater. At the rim, he powered through contact to finish strong. He brought that same intensity defensively, applying pressure and never backing down from a challenge.

He delivered a consistently strong performance from start to finish at our C2C Preps Midwest Regional Camp, showcasing his high-level skill set and basketball IQ. His ability to play with pace, get to his spots, and create scoring opportunities for both himself and his teammates made him an effective offensive threat throughout camp. As he continues to improve his efficiency, decision-making, and overall consistency, he has the potential to develop into a very promising prospect in his class.
