Parker has grown five inches since I last saw him play. Back then, he was more of a shooting guard who looked to score anytime he could. He was great at getting to the basket and knocking down perimeter jump-shots. After watching him play Sunday, Parker plays more like a power forward. He’s an outstanding rebounder who can effectively score around the basket. In the first half of game two he grabbed an offensive rebound and finished with a nice one-handed slam. He also showed a nice touch from the mid-area of the basketball court. Parker consistently knocked down short perimeter and fade-away jumpers throughout the showcase. Defensively, he excelled at turning away the shots of opposing players attempting to score in the paint. If Parker can play with the same guard skills he had before, I believe the sky’s the limit for this young man.

From an athletic and physical tools standpoint there aren’t many, if any, prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2030 ahead of Jefferson. Just in the short time between seeing him in June with North Central High School and then at the Desmond Bane Elite Camp it looked like he had gotten taller and stronger. There is so much upside to work with. Jefferson is a 6’5″ wing that should play right away for North Central as a freshman.

This incoming freshman prospect has had his body change in a major way just over the last couple of months. We first saw Jefferson play with North Central High School at a Purdue shootout in June and then again at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. He was an intriguing wing with obvious athletic tools, but appeared pretty raw still. However, just over a month later at the Desmond Bane Elite Camp he appears to have probably grown an inch and added 10-15 pounds of muscle. The physical tools are really impressive now. Look for him to step in right away and play a role for the Panthers.
