With the graduation of some high-scoring seniors, Bentea was unquestionably going to get more shots this year – and he’s delivered. The guard has been firing away from three – he’s one of the best in the state knocking down contested shots – but has also been creating off the dribble and finishing inside for his generally undersized team. Far from a selfish player, the senior is also kicking it out to open teammates for threes and as always, puts out maximum effort on the defensive end.

Hard-nosed guard that does whatever it takes to win. Can really stroke the three and hits contested jumpers. Plays bigger than his 6-foot-2 size and really gets out there and defends. It would not be surprising to see him average over 20 ppg this upcoming season.

Shot the three pretty efficiently and was able to hit some tough shots outside with defenders right on him. Really cut hard to the ball and through the middle, also was deliberate with his jabs and rips which allowed him to dart inside with the rock and get to the hoop. Drew quite a few trips to the foul line too and was pretty money from the stripe.

While the Prospects South team didn’t make the finals, they almost made it there thanks to Bentea. The rising Roseburg senior had his shot on lock all weekend long and they weren’t just open jumpers as he was nailing shots often with a hand in his face. He was all over the place on the boards and on defense and a knock to his forehead drawing blood didn’t prevent him from going all-out. One of the toughest competitors in the Class of 2025 unquestionably.
