The Lions could be a sleeper team in 4A this season, largely because of their strong 2027 class, but if they’re going to make a big jump up in the class this season, it will be because Runge makes a leap. He’s a really skilled three-level scoring threat who can play with or without the ball in his hands. He shoots it at a high clip off the catch, creates off the bounce, and is an active on-ball defender.

Runge may end up becoming more of a point guard as he progresses through his high school career because of how reliable he is as a ball-handler. He doesn’t get sped up against pressure, sees the floor really well, and can score from all three levels.
