Angola advanced to the NECC Tournament Semi-Finals with a 48-37 win over Lakeland on Thursday evening. Knox, a 6’4″ sophomore forward, scored a game-high 22 points to lead the way. The talented sophomore averages just shy of a double-double for the Hornets putting up 16.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Angola is now 9-2 on the season.

We had heard a good amount about this prospect after he put together a good freshman season and was off to a strong start this spring. However, he really impressed us after getting the chance to watch him play a couple of times at UA Rise Session I in Hamilton, Ohio. Knox is a versatile athlete that can do a little bit of everything offensive. He was a consistent matchup problem for opposing defenses because he can use his size to bully smaller defenders inside while still possessing the skill level to operate effectively out on the perimeter. Knox, an Angola High School product, was one of several standouts for OPS 15u as they went 4-0 on the weekend.
