Echelmeyer is a big kid who moves very well. He is 6’7 and has some very strong moves in the post. He has some good size and coordination. He runs the floor hard and plays hard. He has a knack for getting rebounds and will be a problem to deal with on the boards. He has a good presence around the rim.

A prep hoops circuit standout, Echelmeyer has good size from the forward position and the ability to move his feet and defend both inside the paint and on the perimeter. Showing continued progress as an athlete and developing physically, Echelmeyer has come a long way since I first watched him at the tail end of a blowout playoff victory when he was a Sophomore. With his size and length plus continued improvement with the ball in his hands, I expect some small college programs to take a chance and develop him.
