Rice can hit any shot that is in front of him because of his elite shot-making ability. He is quick with the ball in his hands with him avoiding traps and contested defenses looking to swarm him. Averaging over 18 ppg Rice can get to the rim at will or look to hit some tough shots in the midrange game. He is a dangerous threat in fastbreak situations with him flying up and down the court and getting to the rim. On defense, he gets about 2 steals per game thanks to excellent instincts and quick hands to poke the ball free from ball handlers.

Rice is a shot maker and can hit almost any shot the defense puts out in front of him. His crafty handles allow him to get past most defenders while also being able to hit step-back contested jump shots. His release is high and needs little to no room to get it off. He has good speed with the ball allowing him to attack the rim at will during fastbreak situations. His playmaking ability is another elite skill set he possesses as his vision is parallel with some of the best in class.

Rice has a lot of quickness to him which he uses to get by defenders for open shots. His favorite shot from the perimeter seems to be the corner three-ball. He has a smooth release that needs little space to get the shot off. Rice has good range behind the arc with the ability to break down defenders with his shifty handles for stepback shots. He’ll even use that in the midrange game making him such a pure shooter from all over the court.

Rice is a smart decision-maker on the court and always makes the right play. He likes to play uphill but with control and see plays develop well before they happen to give him those extra quick instincts. Rice won’t force any pass or shot and has tight handles to get in and out of different defensive looks, especially in zones. He can even make nice wrap-around passes behind defenses for open shooters when driving baseline. Rice finished with 109 assists this past season.
