Liggins poured in 10 points to lead all scorers in the game. The senior played with outstanding effort and showed good touch around the rim. His ability to run the floor and finish, allowed the Eagles get out to an early lead. His athleticism allowed him to also make a big impact on the boards, providing a few second chance opportunities for himself and his teammates. Defensively, he helped protect the rim by using his great length and timing when in defensive rotations. Liggins can guard just about any position; moving his feet well enough to cover guards and force tough contested shots.

In the season opener, Liggins played with a great motor and athleticism. High pointing and grabbing contested rebounds. One such sequence saw him pitch it ahead, sprint down the floor and get it back for a great finish. Was similarly active as a leaper as a rim protector. Had a chase down block in transition and other good rim protection moments in the halfcourt. The raw athleticism he showed and energy he played with should make Liggins a prime candidate for development minded JuCo programs.

Strong, downhill attacking wing. Can put on a show in transition when given a runway, while also having the short area explosiveness and strength for contested slams and finishes in the halfcourt. Like the work he does in the mid-range, as it adds to his dangerous ability as a slasher. Solid handle, will look forward to tracking Liggins with Edison this winter. Especially to see his potential range from three and other skill improvements. As he checks the boxes from an athletic standpoint.
