Lamar was one of the first players to catch my eye on Saturday, roasting opponents in 1-on-1 action, and his strong play carried throughout the 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 sessions as well. He has an electric first step that he uses to blow by defenders. He’s a great ball-handler who keeps opponents off-balance with his first step and change of speed, is a creative finisher around the rim with either hand, and has a really good mid-range game. He has a quick release off both the dribble and the catch, and has great footwork on his drives. He plays hard on both ends of the floor, and his motor caught the eyes of a few college coaches that I talked to.
