Chad Graham | Prep Hoops Scout
Johnson almost took over the game with his impact on the boards. From the first shot that went up, he muscled the rebound away from the Wildcats all game long. And when it was on offense, he made two and three jumps to get the putback. The longer he was on the floor, the stronger he got. Johnson’s game then expanded to post ups, including a nice baby hook shot in the third. His defense got tougher too as he began swatting shots in the fourth. He paced Dub P with 12 points, 22 boards, and 2 blocks.

Johnson may have only scored 7 points, but he made a huge difference on the boards and as a rim protector. He was an immovable object on Penn’s backline, walling off slashers from the rim with his sheer size and strength. Then, when shots missed off the glass, Johnson snagged them to limit any potential second-chance points. On the flip side, he came up with a few putbacks on offense, finishing with 12 rebounds to go along with his 7 points.
