Expert Analysis
Andrew Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Kamara is an athletic forward who brings a unique combination of explosiveness and smooth leaping ability to the court. Standing at 6-8, he’s long, lean, and highly active, particularly on the offensive glass. Kamara excels at running the floor and making smart cuts in the half-court offense. While his outside jumper is used sparingly, he can knock it down when needed. Defensively, Kamara is a consistent shot blocker who plays with a high energy level, making him a major asset on both ends of the floor.

2023 stats: 19.3 PPG – 9.3 rebounds – 2.7 assistsKamara will wrap up our list today, but this kid has dominated the year and I’m not sure how he’s not getting the coverage. The 6-8, 200-pounder is a beast is the scoring and rebound categories as he nearly averages a double-double. He’s leading University to a 12-2 start with a lot of momentum with half the season left to play. Keep your eye on this kid and team to finish strong.

The 6-7 rising junior played with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor this summer for Southeast Elite. Kamara uses his length and size to his advantage whether it’s getting rebounds or timely blocks. Kamara displays great footwork on the offensive end where he has a smooth touch around the front of the rim. His mid-range game was more consistent as a sophomore than it was his freshman season. Kamara will look to feel more confident shooting from the perimeter this season as he continues to become a natural three-level scoring threat.
