Ammirante had another solid outing and continued to light up the scoreboard with his ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc. While his release is unconventional, he has the confidence of a green-light shooter and looks comfortable letting it fly whenever the opportunity presents itself. Ammirante is also a sneaky athlete who can make plays around the rim and adds another dimension to his offensive game. I like the way he processes the game on the fly, consistently reading and reacting to what the defense gives him. I look forward to tracking his progress throughout the season at Wheeling Park.

Ammirante hasn’t even logged a varsity minute yet, but he has been productive in the camps I’ve seen him compete in throughout August. He has an unorthodox shooting stroke but consistently finds ways to put the ball in the bucket and cannot be left open, or he will torch you from the perimeter. Ammirante reads and reacts to the game on the fly and made plays for himself and others throughout camp. I liked how aggressively he played and how he wasn’t bothered by competing against players much older than him. I’m looking forward to tracking Ammirante’s development throughout the upcoming season.
