About Michael

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

When I'm on the court, I'm always looking to take it to the hoop and create scoring chances, whether it's for myself or my teammates. I try to be aggressive and keep the pressure on the defense. On the other end, I'm focused on bringing a lot of energy and disrupting the other team's flow. I want to make them work for every point.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Most of the time, I try to keep things pretty relaxed and not sweat the small stuff too much. But when I've got my sights set on something, I get super focused and put in the work to make it happen. I think it's key to stay positive and keep pushing to improve, whether it's in basketball, school, or whatever. I'm all about keeping a good atti

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yeah, I'm involved in a couple of clubs and have gotten a few awards outside of sports. I was in the debate club for a bit, and I'm also part of the environmental awareness club. I got an award for academic excellence in my sophomore year, and I also received the "Volunteer o

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing basketball has definitely helped me develop a lot of skills, like teamwork, communication, and leadership. Being on a team, you learn how to work together towards a common goal and support each other. And going through some tough situations in life

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yeah, I've definitely had some tough times. When I was younger, my little sister passed away at just two months old, which was really hard on my family. Then, a couple of years later, my baby brother died when he was only three months old. which was scary. And the following year, my grandma, who was a big part of my life, passed away too. If that wasn't enough, my uncle got shot.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm mainly looking at colleges where I can really grow, both academically and athletically. I'm interested in Division 1 schools, but I want to make sure it's the right fit for me. I'd love to visit the campuses first to get a feel fo the environment and meet the coaches. As for impacting the court, I think I can bring a lot of energy and hustle. I'm a team player.
