Lynch flat out plays harder than just about anyone on the floor. Defensively, he impacts the game in a variety of ways, guarding multiple positions, using his length to bother shooters, and rotating over to block or alter shots around the basket. His activity level and willingness to compete stand out every possession. Offensively, he showed much more than just interior scoring. He can handle the ball well enough to push it coast-to-coast when opportunities arise, while also being a physical presence in the paint with a polished collection of two-foot finishes and post moves. He even flashed some playmaking ability when double teams arrived. His combination of motor, versatility, and toughness makes him a highly valuable prospect. He is going to be very good over the next few years.

Getting our first evaluation of Lynch during the summer with Atlanta Xpress , the sophomore plays with a high motor, has good length and has a high basketball IQ. He is most productive in the paint and is relentless on the glass at both ends of the floor.
