Expert Analysis
Britt Wright | Prep Hoops Scout
He’s a quality shooting guard that brings a good level of consistency to his team. He’s one of the better prospects in the small school divisions in NorCal. He has a clean jump shot he can hit using a dribble to hit the mid-range shots. He uses screens, curls, and squares up nice for 3’s in different spots. He can get to the paint with his dribble. He’s a good defender and helps rebounds. (75 to 64)

He’s alert and aggressive, a good on ball defender with quick feet and hands to generate steals and turnovers, he’s good up top trapping, he’ll go after blocks and help rebound. He takes it strong to the rim in transition avoiding charges, and using a euro step to finish at times. He’ll hit the set open 3ptr along the perimeter.

Junior, Micah Nyamuzuke continues to be a rising star in Northern California hoops. Nyamuzuke put his guard skills on display during this tournament, getting to the basket whenever he wants, and using his jump shot as a threat, making the opposing defense tend to overplay. Micah’s IQ impressed me over this tournament. He showed he really has a great feel for the game knowing when he should get his shot or look for others. I think Micah is a college caliber guard and I hope he gets some good looks from some D1 schools while his next 2 seasons go along.

He’s more of a wing/guard who has the hands to receive and finish going straight to the rim, he has good handles to go hard into paint, and maneuver his way around the paint. He’s good in transition running hard to fill and finish. He can hit the open 3ptr. He has good foot speed to defend out on the perimeter.

He has continued to grow his game. He’s a solid body guard with the ability to play through contact. He takes it strong into the paint, right at the front of the rim. If he gets a good look he’ll put up 3-pointers, he dropped a few from the top and on the wings. He has good foot movement, a wide stance, and defends with good intensity.
