While capable of handling the ball, he projects more naturally as a shooting guard than a true point guard. Lape can knock down shots from beyond the arc, including off the bounce, adding another dimension to his offensive game. He also displays a willingness to crash the offensive glass, capitalizing on second-chance opportunities and providing added value through his activity and instincts.
