6’4 Oyewole plays with reckless abandon. Stays aggressive at all times offensively, and he has supreme athleticism. He plays above the rim with ease and probably has the best cardio of any freshman that I saw at the showcase. If he continues to just keep his head up while dribbling, so that he can see the whole floor, he’ll be a playmaker for not only himself but for everyone he plays with. That will ultimately make him a positionless basketball player.

Matthew is an explosive player who thrives when he gets downhill and into the paint, where his athleticism allows him to rise up and throw down emphatic dunks. He has a nose for attacking the rim with power, making him a constant threat in half-court sets. But where he’s truly dangerous is in transition—Matthew loves to get out and run, using his speed to beat defenders down the floor and finish plays before the defense can set. His combination of strength, quickness, and finishing ability makes him a highlight waiting to happen whenever the game opens up.
