I’ve had this name on speed type for a few months now. He did it again last night in a win against Atherton. Firman messed around and got a triple-double, finishing with 15 points, 12 assists and 10 steals.

Here’s that guy again. He came 1 point short of a triple double in a Bendle win. Firman finished with 10 steals, 10 assists and 9 points.

Firman is a talented lead guard that has been on our page regularly since the fall. There’s a reason for that. He has a high basketball IQ and that translates to smart and effective passes. Firman is athletic and shifty with the ball, which helps him draw defenders and gives him kick pass and drop off options.

College coaches, don’t miss an opportunity with this young man. He has a well rounded game for a point guard. His skill set combines that old school lead guard that distributes and finds teammates in scoring position. But Firman also carries the athleticism and ability to create opportunities for his teammates and himself when the offense needs a spark.

Firman has the look of an old school lead guard. He can play as a pass first point that sets up teammates and gets the ball to it’s spots. But he also has the modern day flare and shooting ability. If you saw Firman at The Expo, you saw him creating off the bounce and filling it up from deep.

Firman really turned heads at the event and college coaches should take note. He’s not just a steady lead guard that can shoot. Firman proved that he can be dynamic with the ball in his hands. He showed a lot shake in his handles and was able to manipulate and lose defenders. Firman had a really nice reverse finish through traffic as well.

Let’s keep this plain and simple. Firman can play at the next level. The Expo would be a great place to put his game on display entering his senior season. He’s a high IQ player that can both distribute and handle with a high level point guard’s efficiency. Firman has the chance to end up being a steal at the next level.

Firman has been underrated his entire high school career. And still is. College coaches, I stand by the fact that this young man can and will play at the next level. If you don’t believe him, he’ll show up early and put in work until you do. The young man never complains. Instead, Firman gets in the gym and gets better. He’s smart with the ball, can handle through pressure and shoots at a high percentage.
