Makhari Johnson is one of the most well-known young players in the Monroe area, and while he has already scored more than 1,000 points at the middle school level, he is much more than a scorer. In his most recent all-star appearance, Johnson approached the game with maturity and purpose. He locked in defensively, avoided forcing the offense, and made winning plays throughout the competition. Wossman is a powerhouse program where freshmen do not often earn major minutes, but Johnson has the talent and mentality to challenge that trend. With his potential and Wossman’s development environment, he is a prospect worth monitoring closely.
