About Lyriq

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a fast, high-IQ point guard who controls the game, sets up teammates, plays tough defense, and can score when my team needs me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Competitive, disciplined, and team-oriented. I stay focused, work hard every day, and embrace challenges because they help me grow as a player and a person.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am not currently involved in any clubs or organizations outside of sports. However, I have earned 2× MVP and 3× Finals MVP awards, which reflect my dedication, leadership, and impact on the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and discipline. I lead by example with my work ethic, support my teammates on and off the court, and stay committed to improving every day. Basketball has also taught me responsibility, perseverance, and how to perform under pressure.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I have faced was recovering after being shot. The experience tested my strength, resilience, and determination. It taught me to stay positive during difficult times, appreciate every opportunity, and never take my goals for granted. Overcoming this challenge has made me mentally tougher and motivated me to work even harder both on and off the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with strong academics, a competitive basketball program, and a positive team culture that will help me grow both on and off the court.
