His confidence is unmatched, effortlessly launching threes from any spot on the court, especially when given even a sliver of space. If defenders rush to contest his shot, Luke’s quick first step allows him to blow by them, attacking the rim with authority. Once inside, he’s equally adept at finishing through contact or dishing out precise passes to open teammates.

Swerdlik is a creative ballhandler who can get to his spots well and does a good job feeling out defenders and finding gaps to shoot in. Very good 3-point shooter who has shown a much more expanded game this spring and summer, and is a capable passer who has good vision and awareness on both ends of the floor.

Crafty offensive player who shows great court vision to attack space, has the jumper to hit from each level, and also shows some great playmaking skills. Will get a chance to be the guy at Mountain View this season and should be one of the breakout players this winter.

Excellent scorer who has the touch to score at each level and has really shined for his ability to get to his spots this spring. Has a pretty creative handle and uses it efficiently while playing on balance in order to get his shots up quickly in space.

Swerdlik has been one of the biggest surprises for me this spring. I saw him show off some long-range shooting at Mountainview this past winter but he has been eye-opening this spring with Gametime. He is their top scorer and ballhandler, and has been a gritty competitor against whatever team steps on the floor opposite of him. He has a smooth shot off the catch and dribble and has showcased some impressive ability to create room with different dribble combinations and gathers, he uses screens effectively and identifies space inside the arc to finish from just about any spot on the floor. He’s a kid to keep an eye on who’s shown a lot of skill this spring.
