Simmons positional size and length immediately stood out, and he did a nice job of using those physical tools to his advantage. He had little trouble creating offensive opportunities for himself and his teammates, displaying a unique and unorthodox style of play that made him difficult to defend. What stood out most was the way he saw and processed the game, consistently making reads that showcased his basketball IQ and feel for the action. At times, I would like to see him be a bit more conservative with his decision-making, as he can get caught trying to make the home-run play instead of taking the simple one. Even so, his versatility and creativity make him an intriguing prospect who should continue to gain traction with small college programs throughout the region.
