Burton plays the game like a ticking bomb. You’re not sure when he’s going to go off, but it will happen sooner or later. He can get red hot from deep, beat defenders off the dribble, or make highlight plays in transition. He’s powerful and explosive, with a sharp handle and a good eye for dishing the ball on the drive.

Aquinas supports a couple of veterans with a whole crew of sophomores. As this team gains experience playing a rugged schedule, it could really cause problems come playoff time. Ranked ninth in the class of 2025, Burton is one of the Saints’ primary components. He can do a lot of things with the ball, and he’s a dangerous ball hawk at the defensive end. He’s demonstrating an accurate touch from deep, hitting 43% from behind the arc. His balanced stat line is a huge support to the team leaders: 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 3 steals.

Burton got exposed to varsity action as a ninth grader and looks to take on a much bigger role this year. He’s an athletic guard with a smooth jumper and nice touch from beyond the arc. He’s particularly good at pulling up off the bounce.
