Shatley is off to a really strong start this season with Court Kings and had another productive weekend at the Phenom Rise Showcase as he averaged 21 Points per game for the event. Shatley’s calling card(s) are arguably the most translatable in basketball… positional size and shot making. His ability to heat up from distance is notable along with the fact that he is showing that he can become a truly complete player when it’s all over with. Shatley is comfortable attacking closeouts and making plays, he does a great job executing the concepts this team strives to operate with, and also finds a way to contribute on the glass. This Court Kings team plays a really strong brand of basketball predicated on ball movement and interchangeability at both ends of the floor making Shatley a perfect fit with the style and other prospects surrounding him. He had a sophomore year where he really established himself as a premier shooter in NC’s 2028 class combined with the early returns that we’ve seen this spring, I fully expect to see Shatley in the 2028 rankings when they update next week.

Shatley is a new name (for me) in the 2028 class here in North Carolina that will be monitored closely with his outside shooting touch and competitive fire. This Court Kings 16u group plays a really quality brand of basketball and Shatley is both a contributor and benefactor of the way they play. Shatley is a remarkably confidence outside shooter with real touch from beyond the arc. He’s got good positional size at his age and is able to shoot over contests more often than not. He had a big 26 Point performance this weekend where he connected on four 3 point shots. Shatley plays the game the right way, I didn’t see him really force any bad shots all weekend, he took what was there for him in the flow of the game and capitalized. Shatley possesses the ability to attack a closeout as well, he’ll help connect your team at both ends, and provides great leadership for this team. Court Kings 16u will be an indy team to watch all summer long and Shatley will assuredly rack up more big weekends with them.
