About Kyaun

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a shifty combo guard with good handles who can score from inside, mid-range, and beyond the three-point line. I can create my own shot and contribute to team play. As I continue to grow, I’m focusing on becoming more consistent and confident in my decisions.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a hardworking and determined player who is focused on getting better every day. Even though I can be shy at times, I’m committed to building my confidence and stepping into a bigger role. I’m coachable, willing to learn, and ready to put in the work to reach the next level.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I stay focused mainly on basketball and personal development, but I’m always open to getting more involved in school activities and programs that help me grow as a leader and student.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong teamwork skills and the ability to play within a system. Even though I’m still learning high-level team basketball, I communicate, stay coachable, and work hard to improve. I’ve also built resilience by pushing through confidence challenges and continuing to put in the work every day.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, one of my biggest challenges has been confidence. I know I have the skill to score at all three levels, but sometimes I second-guess myself, which affects my performance. I haven’t always played in structured team systems, so adjusting to high-level team basketball has also been a challenge. However, I’ve been taking steps to improve mentally and physically, putting in consistent work to buil

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a competitive college with a strong basketball program that will push me to improve and develop as a player and person. Academically, I want a school that supports my growth and prepares me for the future. Schools like Duke University, Texas Tech University, and University of Iowa.
