A player who had been on our radar for a while, McIntyre was a prospect I finally got the ability to watch for the first time in person at the Prep Hoops Expo. I left impressed with the perimeter scoring ability of McIntyre, not surprising after he averaged over 18 PPG as a Junior. Another area where he stood out was defensively on the ball, McIntyre averaged over 2 steals a game last season and that checked out after watching him compete on that end of the court in our Expo showcase. McIntyre also threw some nice lobs to athletic teammates for slam dunks, showing his unselfishness as well. McIntyre looks like a solid small college guard recruit to check out, he’s taken some visits to regional programs already.

McIntyre impacted the game in a variety of ways on Saturday. For starters, he shoots a clean ball and makes open looks when given to him. I also was impressed with his passing, he threw multiple lob passes that were finished for layups and dunks. I also thought McIntyre showed good effort levels defensively, competing on that end with good hustle and on-ball pressure. A small town name to know from the class of 2025.
