Block-Jones has been an eye catcher in warm up lines since his freshman year at Union. But given the depth of size for the Redhawks, his varsity exposure has been limited. During 5 on 5 play and other full court drills, his big time athleticism was jumping off the page. While at times looking raw, his quickness is that of a wing and he did some damage off the bounce. Which he’s especially dangerous with his ability to elevate. There’s a lot of untapped potential for the 918 youngster and a big spring and summer will be key to him fulfilling his promise.

Another 918 prospect who saw lesser run due to attending one of the giant school districts in the state. Block-Jones already is tall with a plus wingspan and the athleticism to be impressive in layup lines. Forwards/wings like the Redhawk tend to develop later than guards, which often is due to the fact that they’re still growing. And can have a “baby giraffe” awkward type movements. But once they settle in their body, they become forces to be reckoned with. Early signs point to Block-Jones as having the potential to follow that path.
