Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Spears, a guard out of Notre Dame Prep in Connecticut, checks in at #15 among the shooting guards and #87 overall. Spears excels on the defensive end of the floor, where his combination of positional size and length, allows him to guard up and down a lineup. He uses his length to be disruptive in passing lanes and, as an on-ball defender, to make life difficult for opposing ball-handlers. Offensively, he does a nice job of getting out and running the floor in transition, where he can finish plays with athleticism at the rim or stretch the floor as a shot maker from behind the arc.
