Coming off the bench for Midwest Roots, Kekesi is one of the most intriguing players coming out of the showcase. He showed promise on the offensive side, with his playmaking and overall effectiveness on the drive. Multiple times he got to the basket after receiving the ball at the top of the key. When on the drive, he would show his knack for finding open cutters. However, where Kelvis really shined was on defense. At 6’6, he’s quick and athletic, and can truly guard just any position. The lanky forward used his long arms to contest every post shot. That being said, he’s still quick enough to close out on perimeter shots and affect them. In what maybe is his best quality is Kelvis’ mindset. Defensively, he plays incredibly hard and tries to get his hand on every shot attempt; he even took a charge, which you always love to see.
