Murphy, a forward out of the Kingswood Oxford School in Connecticut, took a major step in his development this winter while proving to be a high level interior defender. The 6’8″ forward does a nice job as the last line of defense, showing good instincts when playing out of rotations and the ability to block or alter shots without fouling. He runs the floor hard in transition, does a nice job of rolling to the rim out of ball screens, and shows good instincts on the offensive glass. He also does a nice job of finishing plays around the rim, with either hand and through contact.
