McBride is a prospect out of Croatan High who continues to rise at the shooting guard spot in the 2027 rankings. He checks in at No. 24 in the latest rankings market corrections following a strong year shooting the ball. McBride posted 21.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 steals per contest on 79 made 3-pointers as a sophomore. His ability to snag rebounds and create in a hurry with his perimeter shooting is an asset at the next level. He’s one to watch on the grassroots scene with Morehead City Thunder with a knack for making things happen in the backcourt.

He’s one half of one of the top scoring backcourts in the East and has looked a lot more confident in his sophomore season. 451 points scored going into the postseason is no small task for anyone but even more impressively he has increased his scoring and rebounding output from 11 points and 3 rebounds up to 20 points and 7 rebounds. Also carries impressive shooting splits of 51/40/80 making him one of the most efficient prospects as well.

He’s knocked down 56 3-pointers and counting for the Cougars behind 20.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.6 assists per game in 2024-25. They’re in prime position to make a move in the 3A Coastal Conference as he shows his growth.

McBride is another sharpshooter in the 2027 class at Croatan High who’s coming on strong in his sophomore season. He’s shown his poise in knocking down shots on the perimeter and rebounding the ball with 19.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.3 assists per game for the Cougars.
