I’ve been really high on Brown as a player and prospect for a couple of years now. He didn’t disappoint last night. In fact, Brown was HUGE in this game. He showed off his mid range game with a pretty pull up jumper from the free throw line. Brown was active around the rim, as he scored a few times off put back buckets. Brown had a highlight reel play when he was in transition with the ball and took it around his back to play keep away from the defender and ended with a layup finish.

Brown is a must see prospect for any college coach looking for that steal in their 2025 class. I say it every time I see him play, but I love what he can do on the defensive end of the floor. Brown is so effective in trapping situations. He instinctively plays angles and has active hands, but doesn’t foul. Brown had a pretty pass in transition for an assist and had multiple put back buckets in the win. He showed solid body control on an off balance leaner off the glass for 2.

Brown is really skilled with the ball and can certainly have it in his hands and be effective. But I really like that he let’s other aspects of his game lead the way and ultimately feed into his scoring. Brown is willing to hustle up the floor and fill a wing in transition. He can create turnovers on D and get the ball out with a pass, hustling after it as a trailer.

Brown has been one of the steadiest risers up recruiting boards since late last high school season. The Expo would be a great place to showcase his skills. He has good positional length and he uses it as a trapping defender at half court. Brown is a versatile scorer that can play his matchup and create advantages.

Brown has a chance to be a must see player at the David Barns Showcase. He kept getting better and better as high school season went along and was a key part in a deep tournament run. He’s continued that improvement and has a chance to be an elite 2 way athlete.
