-Showed a very nice hesi-move when attacking the hoop

-Loose ball steal, opportunistic playmaker

-Blocked shot, timed it perfectly

-Was impressed how he scored down low vs bigger guys/did this all day long

-Relentless competitor on the boards

-Strong build

-Does a real nice job using his body to get defenders off balance and score in post

-Finishes with both hands

-Nice footwork in post/step through/up n under/fade away from 12ft

-Made alot of tough finishes look easy

-We mentioned this in a previous article, but he looks bigger/stronger/faster

-Played well throughout the day, got buckets from all levels

-Strong, physical, and aggressive, no problem scoring in iso situaions

-He also beat help D and scored in traffic

-Very good rebounder, I liked how he timed the ball perfectly & high-pointed

-Showed that he is a real threat from 3-point land & cashed in

-Many strong/physical scores and did it from a variety of angles

-Consistent bucket-getting at the basket

-Noticeably bigger & stronger since I have seen him last

-Easy to see that Knudson has put time in work at the weight room

-Strong finishes at the cup, could not stop him with just 1 guy

-Cleared the glass, when he wanted the rock, he got it

-Physical moves to the rack, strong but finished softly when needed

-Shot looked very nice from the elbow; form & mechanics were noteworthy

-Bigger, stronger, and faster than most of his opponents

-I like his length as a lead guard, has skill and smarts, quality athleticism

-Improved a good amount over the off-season, have only seen his film in the past year, excited to see him ball live 1 more time before his senior season

-He will be stepping into the primary playmaker scorer for MOPO, has All-State talent, does he look ready?

PHD: Walk me through your off-season. What did you do to improve your basketball game?

“I’ve been lifting and going to basketball camps with my team.“

PHD: What’s one specific part of your game you focused on improving this offseason, and where do you feel like you’ve made the most progress?

“I’ve been focusing on improving my shot; it was the one area of my game last year that was lacking.“

PHD: What does your fall look like right now? Are you playing another sport, or is it all basketball focused?

“I’m in football and every day I try to go to the weight room or get some shots up.“

PHD: What are your goals for the coming season, both individually and for your team?

“I’m hoping for our team to win our Region and average 20 points a game.“

PHD: Can you give some insight on an influential coach you have had? What made them memorable?

“An influential coach I’ve had is our old assistant coach, Trey Frederick. He taught defensive principles to me that I still use to this day.“

PHD: Time to give a shout to a teammate…Who do we need to know about from your high school team?

“I’m giving a shout-out to Trueth Crow Ghost Trueth Crow Ghost 5'9" | PG/SG Mobridge-Pollock | 2028 State SD . He’s the hardest worker I know and always in the gym getting better.“

PHD: Who is your favorite player to watch in college or the NBA, and why?

“Anthony Edwards. He’s always making big plays and is super explosive.“

PHD: Where do you feel like your game has grown the most in the past year or two?

“My strength in the paint. I’ve been getting stronger and it’s been easier scoring when I can overpower people in the paint.“

PHD: Who pushes you the hardest, whether that’s a teammate, a coach, or someone you train with?

“Kyson Goodshield pushes me the hardest. He’s always inviting me to go to the gym to get some shots up after a hard football practice when I don’t want to.“

PHD: Where is your hot spot on the floor or can you tell us about a “go-to” move you like to use?

“A pull up jump shot on the elbow. It’s my smoothest shot and it never fails to work.“

-I like his length as a lead guard, full of versatility

-All-level scorer, takes what the defense gives him, will exploit an overplay

-Smart/clever about using body to attack angles & create space for buckets

-Hit shots off the catch & pull-up, creative in the paint, finishes L & R

-Savvy and creative with jab-steps, pivots, and fakes to create separation

-Soft-shooting touch, good-looking form, nice balance, uses size to get off J’s

-Heady ball-player, nice-sized lead guard, coach’s kid w/ good feel/understanding

-Having a very nice start to summer, Kale will work hard all summer & improve

-Scrappy/tough/gritty, does not back down, opportunistic, two-way ball player

-Scored 7 of his 11 points in crunch time of the 4th quarter

-Had couple nice steals

-Got out in transition for an easy basket

-Did a nice job of getting good post position
