In terms of pure #, Turner-Scott might be the biggest riser we have as he’s gone from 132 to 57 and that still might be too low to be completely honest. I think we’ll do one more update before graduation and it would not surprise me if he rises even further. Ben L Smith is one of the State’s top teams and Scott’s impact at both ends of the floor is incredibly valuable to this group’s ability to win game after game. Scott’s ability to use his outside touch, strength, and IQ to he and his teams benefit is such an important thing for this Ben L Smith team. Everyone that follows hoops in the State knows that

is the straw that stirs the drink at Smith but it’s Turner-Scott that helps alleviate so much of that pressure with his steady production, presence on the glass, and overall two way impact. He’s a bonafide full scholarship talent IMO and frankly is one of the most under recruited available seniors in North Carolina.

Turner-Scott has grown from 6’2″ to 6’4″ and has put a lot of time in the weight room. That has him ready for a bigger role and a major leap in his overall game. Scott is an elite catch and shoot guy that can guard multiple positions defensively. He now has legit positional size and is completely bought in to his role on this stacked roster. Scott can attack closeouts and finish through contact to keep defenses honest while also being an active contributor on the glass. Scott’s skills translate to the next level in a very clear way, his game is simple, productive, and translates to winning.

Turner-Scott went quiet in the second half, but part of that was due to the Spartans looking to get the ball out of his hands. He had a nice first half, scoring 10 points on a couple threes and drives to the basket. He’s got a smooth stroke, and is not afraid to fire it from downtown either off the catch or off the dribble. I like what he brings to the table as a secondary scoring option for Walkertown, and there is still a lot of room for growth.
