Stromski is a player who we have seen a few times throughout the years, and that’s the fun part of him coming down to Denver is we’ve got to see the maturation process, and it’s all starting to come together for him as he heads into his senior season. He was a force on the boards this week, and he went right up with it. He was running the baseline, they put him at the nail and let him operate, and he showed a bit of a face-up game. Julian had some tough finishes at the high post and was attacking, even finishing through contact. I like that he forced the mismatch down low and even stepped out and hit a 3-pointer. The game is starting to slow down for him, and when he’s patient, it looks even easier for him. He had a couple of solid performances on the weekend.

Julian Stromski is a physical presence that plays a big role for his Hustle Basketball Club 16U squad as they look for him to carry the load on both ends. He showed he can be a three level scorer throughout the weekend mainly excelling  inside the paint with his ability to drive to the basket. At times he will shoot from the perimeter making some tough shots from that range. Defensively he holds his own against opposing players that may have a slight advantage over him frame wise. His athletic frame provides a solid presence defensively in many situations on that end of the floor.

Stromski is a name to follow out of Wyoming, given the off the dribble shotmaking and wiry frame this early in his career. Among the more physical guards from the Sophomore Camp, opponents had trouble slowing him down once he got a head of steam. His shotmaking versatility set him apart from many other names, able to create quality looks from all three levels. 

Julian, a guard with a strong physique, is a force when attacking the paint and finishing at the rim. While he occasionally hits from beyond the arc, his bread and butter lies in his ability to score inside. Defensively, Julian’s ability to move his feet and anticipate passes makes him a tough matchup for any guard. As he continues to develop, his impact on both ends will be crucial to his team’s success.
