Expert Analysis
Owen Siebring | Prep Hoops Scout
Julian is the kind of player who turns up the speed early, and barely lets his foot off the gas for the entire game.
Julian is a guy you want with the ball in his hands on a fast break; he’s smart enough to make the right decisions, and he’s quick enough to capitalize on his own if he needs to.
And when you’re setting up the offense, this is a kid who can shoot it lights-out from behind the arc. Julian is extremely confident with his deep stroke, and he shows no hesitation when he’s got a good look.
He’s equally confident when driving to the rim. Julian prides himself on his ability to go downhill, and he owns a soft touch when he gets to the hoop. This is a perfect kind of shooter that you’d want on your roster.

Julian plays on a talented all-around team, but his smooth play made him a standout over the 4-game weekend.
This is another shooter who is supremely confident with his deep stroke; he has no hesitation when he gets an open look. But he can also lull you to sleep if you think he’s just a 3-point threat, because he’ll beat you off the dribble and lay it in with a soft touch at the rim.
At one point I saw Julian secure a steal near the sideline, and tiptoe his way out of traffic before pushing the ball down the floor on a fast break. He has speed with the ball in his hands, and prides himself on getting downhill in a hurry.
Julian also is a lock-down defender, who can poke the ball loose, and disrupt a team’s offensive movement.

Julian’s final game of the weekend might have been his best performance of the Mitten State Mash.
Against InspireU, he dropped a magnificent 27 points-with a trio of 3-pointers under his belt. He’s so confident with his deep stroke, and shows no hesitation when he gets a good look.
Julian showcased some great speed this weekend, with an ability to walk a tightrope on the sideline after a steal, and confidence to capitalize on a layup.
Julian prides himself on getting downhill in a hurry, and he hopes he proved this weekend that he’s an elite shooter.
