Ruffin is a high energy and physical forward that excels in the open court, is active on the glass on both ends, and is a versatile defender. Ruffin has been one of the most consistent forwards in the Section throughout the Fall portion of the season, showing growth in his skill set and shot making, and ready to help his team make a run at a league title and try and get back to a Section title game. Ruffin is an elite rebounder, has the wingspan and timing to block shots in the paint, as well as the agility to close out and alter perimeter shots, gets points off the put-back to get score quickly, and is good at deflecting passes and jumping passing lanes to get steals and easy points. Ruffin seals his defender off nicely on the post or in the pick and roll action, has good hands to catch and score on the catch, is effective with the pull-up jumper from the mid-post, enough handle to create off the wing, and looks to take flight when around the basket.
