Another skilled backcourt prospect from Miami, Bernstein is a combo guard who combines perimeter shot making with solid playmaking ability. A reliable shooter with range beyond the arc, he can knock down shots off the catch or create his own opportunities off the dribble. He does a good job reading defenders, effectively uses ball screens and changes speeds to create separation and get into the paint. With good court vision and the ability to distribute the basketball, Bernstein can contribute as both a scorer and facilitator. Expect his numbers and overall production to take a significant step forward this season.
