Mwanda, a guard out of the St. Thomas More School in Connecticut, in an impressive prospect with great positional size and length. A post-graduate from out of the region, Mwanda has the ability to get into the paint off the bounce, where he does a nice job of finishing with touch over size and spraying it out to shooters for open threes. He’s got a quick first step, plays at different speeds as a driver, and shows good vision when operating out of ball screens. Defensively, his length and foot quickness are assets, as he’s a quality defender both at the point of attack and also at the top of a press. He remains undecided on his college destination.

Blaise Mwanda, a guard out of the St. Thomas More School, is a prospect to watch on the updated Watch List. The 6’3″ wing has great length and is a plus athlete that shows a unique ability to finish plays around the rim. He’s an instinctive offensive rebounder, has a quick first step of the bounce, and shows the ability to knock down shots in catch and shoot situations. His combination of length, lateral mobility, and athleticism allows him to be an impactful defender that can guard any perimeter position and shows the ability to be a lock-down defender down the road.

Blaise Mwanda, a scoring wing from St. Thomas More, makes an appearance on the Watch List in this update. A bouncy athlete, he is at his best when he can make plays in space, getting to the rim and finishing with authority. He’s terrific in the open floor, covers ground quick, and uses his length as a finisher around the rim. On the other end of the floor, he has the ability to guard any spot on the perimeter and makes loud plays in passing lanes that lead to conversion offense.
