Do not allow Jake’s size to determine your evaluation of his impact. He is a gritty, experienced lead guard who embodies toughness and plays with the confidence needed to command a team from the point guard position. He handles the rock with confidence and gives UMS-Wright a dependable floor general who can organize the offense and control tempo. His experience should become especially valuable in critical situations, where having a guard who understands pace, pressure, and game management can make a major difference. Jake’s toughness is one of his defining characteristics, and he does not shy away from the physical nature of the game despite being an undersized guard. His combination of experience, ball-handling, toughness, and command of the offense gives him an opportunity to be a steadying presence for UMS-Wright throughout his senior season.
