Hilaire, who had his coming out party as a junior at Tolman, is primed to make another jump this winter as an on the floor leader. One of the states quickest guards, Hilaire does a terrific job of getting into the paint and finding teammates in scoring spots. He can play at different speeds, stops and changes direction on a dime, and does a great job of turning the corner in ball screens. He’s a capable scorer that can get it done at all three levels and is a surprisingly efficient paint scorer. He’s lightning quick in transition, knows when to pitch the ball ahead to shooters, and can make every pass in the book off the bounce. He’ll have the keys to the offense this winter and should be among the top playmakers in the RIIL.

Hilaire is very short but he’s got a strong body and some good in-air control when finishing at the rim. The lefty is also a very strong on-ball defender who can slide his feet and hang with stronger, taller guards. The Tolman High School senior could find a D3 fit, but size will always be a factor.
