What Stood Out: Physical Transformation
Hart had a really good spring and summer, showcasing a versatility that allowed him to make an impact on both ends of the floor. This was the first time I’d seen him this winter and he looks to be in the best shape of his life. He’s leaned out while also adding muscle and now looks like a prospect that could hold his own physically on a college floor today. His athleticism, conditioning, and physicality all looked to be at another level than they were this spring. All of which only adds to his versatility, allowing him to play on the perimeter or in the paint on both ends of the floor.

Hart finalized his college plans with a commitment to Claremont McKenna College. Hart had a strong summer on the travel circuit with the Middlesex Magic, again proving to be a versatile wing that can impact games on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he does a great job of playing as a connector, doing whatever is needed on that end. He’s a terrific offensive rebounder, a willing ball mover, and has the ability to attack the rim off the bounce. He has a consistent perimeter jumper, does a good job of moving without the ball, and can really run the floor in transition. Defensively, he is a jack-of-all-trades type defender that can guard up and down a lineup. He’s proven to be an intelligent defender that rebounds at a high level and knows where to be in team schemes. Claremont McKenna scores a win in New England, as Hart is the ultimate competitor who should help win a lot of games in his four years.

Hart is a fundamentally sound wing who can shoot it from three and also bully his way into the paint for easy buckets. He even showed a high-arching mid-range jumper that was relatively consistent. Hart is best as a floor spacer and ball mover, though, because he’s supremely unselfish and knows how to think the game. Definite D3 prospect who should have a nice college career somewhere.

Fundamentally sound player who will make the extra pass and hit the open shot. Not going to wow you with speed or athleticism, but has solid strength that allows him to get to his spots. Great communicator and teammate.

Joey is continuing to raise his stock this fall. In the North Andover fall league, he recently had a huge stat line with 19 point, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Joey is a high energy player, who can create his own shot, and guard multiple positions. I think Joey could be in store for a big season at Central Catholic.
