About Joey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a versatile wing who can score at all three levels, defend multiple positions, and make correct reads on offense. I depend on skill, footwork, and IQ more than size, and I’m comfortable playing both on and off the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive, disciplined, and very coachable. I take pride in working hard every single day and staying consistent, and I’m always looking for ways to improve my game. I stay calm under pressure and try to be a reliable source for my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I stay active in school and my community. I’ve participated in school clubs and academic activities, and I’ve earned recognition for strong grades and positive leadership in the classroom.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned how to communicate well with teammates, stay unselfish, and put my team first. I’ve also developed leadership by example through my work ethic.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is competing against older, stronger players in my class as a younger athlete. Instead of holding me back, it pushed me more and more to improve my strength, skills, and confidence. It taught me resilience and how to stay focused on long-term growth.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a strong academic program, a competitive basketball program, and a coaching staff that values player development. I want a school where I can grow as a student, athlete, and person in all.
