His length and high release makes it difficult even when his defender is timely with a closeout, but the confidence and quickness of his mechanics have piqued the interest of Division I coaches on the sideline and for good reason. He showed some chops and awareness defensively jumping a few passes that led to transition opportunities. He scored 26PTS on 7-of-8 from three in their win over Episcopal. It puts him at 62 percent from three on 26 attempts in three games played this weekend. A true stock-riser thus far.

His name was making its way around circles due to his size at 6-foot-7 and his confidence from range that extends well beyond the high school line. The southpaw doesn’t have the typical mechanics that lefties do that are easy on the eyes, but the results speak for themselves as the guard/wing knocked down a handful of trey’s en route to 17PTS. All came off the catch or quick 1-dribble pulls to reestablish his balance before rising up, but it’s clear he has a jumper that can quickly change the course of games when he’s on target like tonight.
