Mabine has a quick, compact release and is immediately in scoring mode on the catch. He consistently looks to the rim and doesn’t hesitate when given space. Off the dribble, he’s comfortable rising up after using ball screens to create separation. I sat and watched a game where he hit six three pointers in a half and connected on nine makes from behind the arc in that game. Defenders who go under screens are often punished by his ability to knock down shots from deep. He plays with confidence and stays aggressive as a scoring threat. His shooting versatility makes him tough to contain in both catch and shoot and off the dribble situations. Along with his basketball ability Mabine brings fire and a true competitors spirit to the floor.
