In all seriousness, one gets peaks and glimpses of DeJean’s football athleticism when he’s on the court. Though he’s not a high-flying, shoot from anywhere past half-court player, DeJean’s impact is felt on the court. A big, 6-foot-6 and 213-pound body that possesses a bit of a guard skillset, OABCIG looked much more fluid and active offensively with the future Hawkeye running the offense. Down double-digits in the third quarter, once DeJean began initiating the Falcon offense, OABCIG got right back in it, going on a double-digit run of their own to tie it at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
DeJean has soft touch around the rim, strength to create separation without fouling on offense, handles and vision to be trusted as a point forward, and his jumpshot isn’t too bad, either.
