It’s been since 2022 that Latta made the trip to OKC in March, but they’re ranked 10th in Class 2A. Sophomore sharpshooter Trimmer is a big reason why they could peak at the right time this year. He’s lit up bigger programs like Tahlequah Sequoyah and Marlow. At 12-5, they’re only one win away from matching last year’s win total. And with a sharpshooting like Trimmer, could shake up the playoff brackets next month.

Trimmer has the type of silky jumper, with a soft landing that the net barely moves when he hits. Must be accounted for as a spot up threat, while also making the defense pay with the ball in his hands. Leaned on a spin move to get to the rim in some of these clips. Has similar soft touch on his mid-range jumper and a floater, which allowed him to be effective on drives even though he’s a smaller guard. Lots of good scoring traits from a youngster who got plenty of reps against older competition this summer. With Trimmer serving up buckets, expect a bounce back from Latta following a 13-16 season.

Small town guard, who has no problem playing up at the 17U level in regional AAU action. Has some wiggle and driving ability off the bounce. But also a quick check of his Hudl page shows that Trimmer can hit from distance. Routinely multiple made three pointer games for Latta in his first year of varsity action.

Trimmer executed a very difficult and one finish at the rim. He took multiple defenders off of the dribble and attacked the paint throughout the game. He unleashed his jumper as well which made him extremely difficult to stay in front of. Jaxon showcased his ability to create his own look off of the dribble.
